A Civil Construction Legacy Built in Houston
AAA Paving is built on a family tradition of civil construction in Houston. In the late 1940s, Lewis Stanley started working as a grading and dump truck service contractor on road projects across the southern states. In 1964, his son Paul Stanley started the asphalt paving business that became AAA Paving. By 1974, the crew included Paul's two sons, Tim and Robin.
Advertising in the 1960s and early 1970s was primarily in the TV Guide and the Yellow Pages — there were only six primary paving contractors in the Houston area during this time. Some of the early customers included Rice University, Warren Petroleum, Hughes Oil Tools, Federal Reserve, and Quality Electric Steel Castings, which still remains a customer today — our longest customer relationship at 44 years and counting.
The qualities that have kept those relationships strong are simple: service, commitment, and the determination to take care of our customers.
Today, AAA Paving has grown to multiple crews and estimators operating on the foundation of three generations of paving knowledge and dedicated service. We specialize in durability solutions for industrial, commercial, and municipal applications across the greater Houston metro.
The AAA Paving Timeline

Paul Stanley opens a small asphalt paving company in Houston, Texas. He learns the trade and the business simultaneously, building a reputation for no-nonsense quality.
Paul's asphalt company begins securing major commercial work — Rice University, Coca-Cola, Hughes Oil Tools, the Federal Reserve Bank in Houston. The same year, Paul's son Robin begins training full time in the business.
After decades of experience in asphalt paving and general contracting, Robin Stanley teams with his son Rheese to continue the family tradition of paving and site work excellence.
As Houston grows, so does AAA Paving Since 1964. With an ever-expanding combination of first-rate equipment and a "can do" approach from experienced estimating and paving professionals, the future has never looked better.
AAA Paving operates from offices in Houston and Pearland, serving commercial properties across the greater Houston metro with three generations of paving knowledge and 175+ years of combined team experience.
